Every organism has its own surroundings. The same happens for people who take part in sports. When people take part
in sports, they often choose corresponding interpersonal surroundings. The surroundings include the style of personal
contacts, fellowship, family, community, club and work unit. Interpersonal partnership is an important issue that sports
sociology should pay attention to. We choose the angle of studying interpersonal surroundings choice and its alterate
tendency of Chinese sports population to discover the character of sports population in China.

The data of this article is from the investigation of Chinese citizen taking part in sports in 1997.(7989 units)The study
object of this article is 1338 citizens who often take part in sports, which is the sample of this study. The styles of
interpersonal partnership are based on the study which revealed the situation of Chinese mass sports. It was dividend
into 6 kinds: personal, fellowships, community, work unit, club, family. We divide the age of the object into 4
groups:1(16-30 years old)、2(31-45 years old)、3(46-60 years old)、4(>61 years old).We try to study them

Chart 1 and 2 illustrate the choice rate of interpersonal partnership of Chinese sports population. Chart 1 represent the
choice of male, while charts 2 represent the choice of female. From the chart, we can find out that fellowship and
personal are the sports population’s first choice. The style of personal is the first choice of male(>46 years old). The style
of fellowship is the first choice of the youth(16-30),(31-45)Both male and female。It is also the first choice of female
older than 46 years old.

Discussion/ Conclusions
The choice rate of personal, community and club increased with the increasing of the age. The choice rate tendency
(male) of fellowship decreases with the age increasing. The female choice rate tendency of fellowship is unsteady. The
choice rate tendency of family appears to increase at first, then decrease.
